How You Can Help

 

Donations to the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation are 100% tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Your donation can be meaningful in many ways. Every donation will help to give the gift of music to a child.

~ Give in Honor of someone special; a teacher, a student, the bride and groom, in celebration of a birthday, wedding or bar or bat mitzvah. MHOF will promptly notify the honoree of your kindness.

~ Give in Memory of someone special in your life who has passed; a parent, teacher, friend or colleague. MHOF will promptly notify the family of your kindness.

~ Give Monthly to keep music alive for more and more students. MHOF will deduct the amount you designate from your credit card each month and send a year-end receipt with our thanks for your dedication to the cause and an update about the effect of your gift.

~ MHOF accepts will bequests and gifts of stock. Simply contact us to arrange.

 

1. Donate on-line: You can easily and securely donate online, simply  Click here to make a donation to The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation.
2. Donate by check: Please mail a check or money order made out to "The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation" at 15125 Ventura Blvd. Suite 204, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403. 
3. Donate by phone: Call the Foundation at 818.784.6787 to contribute using your credit card. We will need your credit card type, card number, name on the card, billing address and expiration date in order to process your donation.
4. Donate by fax: Print and complete our donation form and fax it to the Foundation. All of the information must be filled out in order to process your contribution. (Requires version 7 or higher of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader)
5. Donate an instrument: MHOF accepts donations of gently used band and orchestral instruments. We cannot accept pianos, organs or guitars. To donate, please send your well-packaged instrument to the address below, and include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address inside the package. To expedite processing of your donation, we will accept an appraisal from a qualified music dealer of your choosing. Please include, on the dealer's official letterheard or form, the appraised value and description of your instrument. MHOF will send you a letter of thanks, with the appraised value for tax purposes. If you cannot have the instrument appraised, MHOF will have it appraised for you. Please give us up to 8 weeks to notify you by letter.
